In January of 2008 Gaijin Film and Sound International was approached by Sticky Media to produced a 1×60 minute pilot magazine show and a high-definition broadcast advertising campaign for a unique new online video-dating service.

Capitalising on the success of social networking applications such as Facebook and the proliferation of multimedia technology in the home, Camcontacts dating service aims to provide users with a unique experience with online video speed dating, allowing customers to customise their profile and talk one on one with potential suitors.

The 60 minute pilot formed part of a bold television venture aimed at the Sky broadcast platform. A dual presenter-led magazine style show covered many aspects of modern living, social and cultural lifestyle advice and dating tips from ‘experts’ and clients alike.

The two advertisements, one 30 second and one 60 second commercial were shot in high-definition and featured a scenario scripted by the client which illustrates the dramatic power of that expert female martial-art: flirtation.
