Cardiff University
In collaboration with the Cardiff University Student Support Centre, Gaijin Film and Sound has undertaken a ground-breaking new multimedia production venture. The aim is to provide students with accessible mobile film content that gives clear, professional guidance on issues such as counselling, housing, money management, study skills, dietary advice and disability support.
The films will be seen by over 33,000 students every year are are available to download as Podcasts and via PC. The project is the first of it’s kind in an academic institution and has generated great interest globally. Students have responded very positively to the initiative, believing the films to offer all the information they need when living away from home for the first time, in a manner that is pitched at the right level and in no way patronising. The latter often proving a trap with this kind of project.
