Rhodri John
Rhodri is an experienced and published composer, musician, and sound engineer with an impressive track record in original composition, performance, recording and production.
A classically trained pianist and classical guitarist of over twenty and fifteen years respectively, Rhodri achieved grade eight in both disciplines at age fifteen, attained the Senior Silver Performance Medal in Pianoforte and followed his graduation from the renowned Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama with the release of his first major solo album. Since then, he has exhibited his work at a number of exhibitions in the United Kingdom, founded a thriving private music school, worked with several artists on varying projects ranging from country and western and heavy metal albums, to classical, pop and folk projects, to artist demonstration recordings for The London Handel competition and Glyndebourne.
Rhodri has taken the role of director of Gaijin’s Sound division, formulating an industry strategy for the upcoming debut of the Gaijin Records label. Rhodri supplements his dedication to music with his love of computers, having designed and built both Gaijin’s main Recording Studio and Film Edit Suite machines.
On every Gaijin production you will hear Rhodri’s efforts, whether it’s the music that hits you right from the start or the virtuoso sound editing that adds a fourth dimension to everything that we do.
